SHOWER DRAINAGE

My wife left the water dripping into the sink during the night & the gray tank filled with water & just starting to backup into the sink. I caught the water backup just in time. I went outside & drained the tank asap.

For some reason the water did not backup into the shower. Being a couple feet lower then the sink, I would have expected the water to also backup into the shower. Does anyone know why this didn't happen ??

Now it seems the shower drains slower then it did before. Would there be some type of anti back flow valve in the pipe that got mis-aligned or something ?? Any help or suggestions on this is appreciated.

Yes, going forward I am leaving the dump valve open on that tank when parked.

Thanks.
