Dave,
Based on the numbers phil provided I get 3,275 for his pin weight also. He had:
Truck unloaded (no trailer) = 7,525 total
Truck loaded with trailer = 10,800 total.

The difference, due only to adding the trailer is 3,275#, and all that weight is added to the truck through the King Pin.

3,225 lbs of that are being carried on the rear axle and
50 Lbs are being carried on the front axle.
