Yep, again that lower esophageal sphincter (LES)tone. With the CPAP, it keeps the acid from coming back the wrong way by adding a certain amount of positive pressure during the ventilatory cycle. You probably just had a weak LES. Glad to hear you can do without the meds...they aren't cheap!
