Well this is the first unit I have had with dual AC, and I'm looking for some clarification on the operations of the bedroom AC...
The thermostat for the coach is mid unit, it controls the AC and heat. When I have the fan set to AUTO , the AC cycles as needed. Shuts off once the temp is reached, and then turns back on when needed.
The AC upstairs has another thermostat, same as the other, except it doesn't control the furnace, just the second AC unit. I set that to a temp, if I put that fan on AUTO, the unit never cycles on or off. Today, I have it set to 68 upstairs, and it never kicked on, and according to the gauge the temp was 73. I guess my question is does the second AC not cycle on and off based on temperature setting? Is the second thermostat just ao ON/OFF switch , for better sense, for the second AVC?When I set the fan to HI or LO it comes on no problem, but then it is on until I **** it off.
