Even driving a car through Alaska/Canada I drove no more than 8 hours. You are planning 12 hours a day and it will wear you out. This is not a drive you want to rush. Take your time. There may be all kinds of causes of delay. We encountered bad portions of road, bad traffic, lane closures, bad weather and especially the unpredictable animals on the road and will get out of the way when they want to. I hope you can add a couple of days to your trip just to get there. We averaged about 450 miles/day and that was a car, and a minivan, and we didn't go as far as you are planning.

You will enjoy the trip. It's breathtaking and expansive.
