We use a Garmin DEZL gps. It sometimes adds some distance to our trip, but tends to keep you off winding, narrow, or low clearance roads. In other words, keeps you on roads suitable for Semi’s. However, whenever you get on secondary roads, city streets, and especially private property, you had better be looking up! That being said, you may also miss some scenic drives. A little prior planning will help you decide which route you desire and feel comfortable with.
