First they say its a shortage of crude that drives up the price . The next week we have plenty of crude, but no refineing capacity? If I remember back in the late 1980 an oil holding company by the name of Shamrock oil went out and bought up all the little refineries all over the country and closed them. After they bought them all out they went out of business. I can remember seeing a lot of different names on stations with independent refiners products. They always had prices cheaper than the big guys. Now we are being held hostage by the big guys.
