No one told us, but I was reading some of the manuals and it says not to put boiling hot water in the sink - but to run the faucet with cool water while you pour the hot water.

I did not do this for the first 6 months or better we were living in the Monty - now I try to remember to. Have had no problem with the sink as of yet (or the plumbing under).

Never thought they would make a sink you couldn't drain pasta and spuds in and have to run cool water while doing so. But oh well.
