Only the face frames of the cabinets are real wood. The thin panels used on the sides of cabinets and bottoms of overhead cabinets are 1/8" plywood type product that is pretty much plain white and the wood-like appearance is done with stain. I doubt that keystone has changed product from its cabinet supplier since my unit was made and real plywood with actual grain and a clear coat product over any stain. If you use anything but a plastic razor blade, test in an area you don't mind being stripped of stain.
