You would need to do some re-wiring to get the 220v but the drawback is that (I think) You would either have to be connected to 220v 50 amp service or unplug the dryer to avoid feedback when on 30 amps. The adapter jumps 1 110v leg to both poles while the 50 amp has 2 seperate out of phase 110v legs.
