I have other pressure cookers - primarily for canning (much larger capacity). The Instant Pot is designed completely different (made in Canada). The inside pot can be removed, everything can go in at one time, the settings are pre-programmed. I was very skeptical before I purchased. Now, I am a believer. I can cook a roast in 45 minutes - that took 4 hours in the oven and the flavor and texture are excellent. Steamed vegetables maintain their flavor and color. No stiring, no heating up the kitchen, no guessing. I really can't say enough good.
