I just installed a Moryde slide out in the front compartment to hold my generator. I used wood to build a base to raise the slide out so it could extend beyond the door frame. I built the base using the box beam technique so it would be strong enough to hold a running generator. Box beams are basically two sides of plywood separated by a 2x4. I built a couple box beams so it would be strong enough. Using glue and screws, to assemble the beams, I ended up with an extremely rigid base so I have no doubt it will last.
