I don't think the part in the tank rotates. At least one of the articles I read on this system stated "no movable parts" (
http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...ss-flush-/3495) It just has several holes in the inner tank unit that gives a spray in multiple directions. Some of the holes could be plugged but in the 6 years of using ours we have never had such an incident. JIM
