We've traveled 199 several times in an auto but never towing the Monty. But in spite of the cautious recommendations stated above we would not hesitate to tow the rig on 199. I'm with Bob on this one. It is nice scenic drive. A few curves but the road is certainly very doable. Go for it. Take your time and enjoy. It is not a heavily traveled route.
