Had our dealer install it with a drip pan.
So it was pretty easy to stage it
drain hose for drip pan was routed through the floor and drain is in the propane compartment.
The key is to not hit a stud.
I would also install water shut off valves in the basement since the water valves are hard to get to once installed.
