On the other hand, we justified the loss of the 7x20x20 storage area for the fireplace. The additional heat and a little more romance are well worth that lost storage
. Some days we turn the heater off and just enjoy the flames!...yeah, I know we're very extravagant!

To answer your question, yes, we did have problems with ours not heating properly. A call to the Dimplex 800 number and they sent the replacement part without charge. Here is the link: http://tinyurl.com/423msh
