Home at Last!

We just returned from our weekend adventure at Fayetteville, NC and are still taken aback at the Southern Hospitality that we experienced first-hand!! We arrived at Camping World at about 5:15 Friday evening and were greeted as soon as we stepped out of the truck by Larry (Hook) and George and Rosetta Person (Jay Bird). It would prove to be the start of a fantastic weekend. We quickly dashed out back to take a peek inside the new 3850 Big Sky and then we thought we were planning our weekend. The Southern Hospitality took over and before we knew what happened all of our overnight plans to stay at Camping World went out the door as George and Rosetta insisted that we stay the night with them. So we loaded our overnight stuff into George's truck and then took off to dinner at a local buffet eatery that was fantastic. Larry and Pat unexpectedly treated us to dinner. The next day was spent at Camping World watching the service techs do our special mods and we were accompanied the entire day by George with Larry checking in on us regularly during the day. The next thing we know Rosetta is there as well as their daughter and son in law. As the day progressed, we were further astounded when Tim and Janis Brennan (tim43) also stopped by. We (mostly me, since Cathy unexpectedly came down with an illness that put here in the bed for the evening), spent Saturday evening transferring everything out of the 3750 into the new rig to get ready for our Sunday departure. We arrived back safe and sound, dropped the rig off at the mini-storage and are now catching up on everything at home. Here is the first couple of pics of the new rig at it's resting place for the next couple of weeks until our Thanksgiving trip. We want to give an enthusiastic thanks to Larry and Pat, George and Rosetta, Tim and Janis, the entire Camping World staff (who went above and beyond the call of duty so many times that it would take a book to write about it), and the MOC in general for just being along with us for the adventure!!

There will be much more to come over the next week or so as I document the mods that are upcoming.
