We have always leveled then put the slides out. A couple of weeks ago we were in the Texas hill country at a golf course for a week. When we disconnected the DW (who is in charge of leveling) said it says we are already level. But she did the auto level any way and it leveled but lowered the rig. She then put the slides out and all was good.
