Speaking of spare tires, I heard of 2 problems, one, a stolen spare, another problem was the spare tire attachment system broke and the spare tire dropped, flipped back and raised the rear of the trailer as it was moving down the highway... Two things I don''t care to endure, so I installed a ratcheting strap on mine and that sucka is tight!
I am under no illusion that it will actually come apart, so I keep a spare strap. I will have to cut it. (Just like a thief would do.. but at least it might slow them down.)
