We have only been in the mountains (Tennessee)once with the Montana. That was enough to convince me that I would need an exhaust brake if we ever went out west in the really big ones. Need feed back of your experience with exhaust brakes and the ones you would recommend. Dodge recommends one especially for manual transmissions and heavy towing - don't know about automatics.
