We too have the Splendide combo vented unit and absolutely love it. We chose the combo unit because it took up a little less space in our closet. Yes, you can only do small loads and you have to make sure to open tank valves if you're doing a lot of laundry,(forgot that once and had water backed up in the shower and out on the floor) but that's a small price to pay for the convenience. You need to make sure to take your clothes out just a few minutes before they are totally dry and hang them up. Otherwise, they tend to wrinkle badly. It feels like a true luxury but I wouldn't be without it now!
