It sounds like mlh and rvgwen have the larger heater. That one has a quick disconnect on it, so when you hook it up it bypasses the regulator on the heater. My heater is unable to bypass the regulator, so I need to tee off the tank before it goes to the RV regulator. Thanks BB TX for those parts. That will work. I will probably need to hook up 2 hoses together so I can move the heater about the RV.
