I think that the OP is stating that the handle IS moving, just not opening the jaws. If that is indeed the case than there is probably a pin or something that has come loose. You need to look under the hitch and see if you can find the problem. If necessary, you can remove the pins that attach the hitch to the bed and then raise the trailer high enough to clear the rails and drive out, leaving the hitch suspended from the trailer. This will give you more room to see under the hitch, along with enabling you to use yor truck. Good luck, it should be simple!
