With photos in hand, I would let the dealer know I expect (at least a partial) refund on the previous testing. I know, don't hold my breath....I would at least get some satisfaction letting the service manager know the owner was able to find the problem when his techs could not.

I would if it was not a 6 hour drive each way; not worth the effort.
