Dave, the Bunker Hills Regional Park is a very nice campground. It is just a few blocks from where we used to live in Coon Rapids but it is a County Park and just like the Lake Elmo Regional Park we spent a lot of time there... The only problem is that they are not full hook up... NO sewer or water... 30 amp electric and a 7 day maximum stay.. We do stay there a lot when we return to Minnesota; especially the one at Lake Elmo since our kids live in that area but every four days we had to go to the dump station and fill up with fresh water...What I used to do was stay at Lake Elmo for 4/5 days then go a mile or so to the St Paul East (former KOA) and stay a few days to catch up on laundry etc. before moving back to Lake Elmo... Our Doctors were in Coon Rapids so we would move to Bunker Hill when we had appointments. That gets old really fast even though the campsites are really nice... There is another that we have stayed at in Ham Lake but it is hard to get on the full hook up list.

Now we just bite the bullet and stay at Dakotah Meadows and pay the price...
