There is a county park called Lake Hendricks located about 1/2 mile north of Riceville, Iowa. I haven't camped there since my kids were small. They are in their 30's now. It was nice then and I think it has improved since then. They don't have full hook-ups, just electric & water, I think. Riceville is about 12 miles or so east of Osage.
If you want to boonedock it, there is a place called Spring Creek, 2 miles west of Osage on highway #9. I think my maps say that it was $5.00 last year and you pay at city hall in Osage. Never stayed there.....JB
