We have an African Grey in our 3400RL and we fulltime. Never had problems with propane fumes, BUT, birds get messy and throw seeds around a lot. But it is entertaining. Our unit is a zoo, we also have a dog and have baby sit our sons animals for extended periods (read months here) those were lizards and spiders, yuck. Never lost a pet.
