I use the disc and a spray of Silicone Lube seems to have work fine for a lot of years. B4 hitching I take paper towel and wipe the disc and the hitch plate then spray. One time their was sand on the disc was like using sand paper on the disc I replaced the disc if I remember their are two diameters of disc use the large one!
