Assuming the generator sits below the bed rim you might consider ordering a BakFlip F1 cover from etrailer.com. I have had them on my last two trucks and the beauty is that you can fold them back enough to not interfere with your fifth wheel hitch and trailer. They are strong (rated at holding up to 400 lbs.) and easy to install. Very secure when leaving stuff in your truck bed while allowing you to fold it us to have full use of the bed when needed.
