I bet that manual crank was on the front wall of the pass-thru compartment. It is for the electric jacks in case the motor fails. As Dieselguy pointed out, all your slides are hydraulic. Usually the bedroom is the first to act as it is the lightest. If the hydraulic pump motor fails you do the 1/4" hex bit in a drill routine to move the slides as detailed on Page 17 of the PDF.
