As someone else mentioned, I think the horn thing is highly regional. Horns are not often heard in this area, although it has increased over the last few years with a large influx of out of state people moving into the area. I traveled a lot during my working years and did notice that horns were used far more frequently in the east and northeast than most other parts of the country. And we have no shortage of inept drivers in this area either.
