It is all in the name

The Grand Canyon. That says it all and yet, it fails to describe the awesome expanse. If you are not phobic about heights, to walk up to the edge and look down is breathtaking. We did a guided tour and let someone else do the driving, so we got to see more than the normal tourist trap. We were picked up at our campground in Williams and chauffeured to GC, escorted to interesting photo opportunities, all with a running dialog of a mixture of science, history and mythology, an entertaining day.

The Canyon Gateway RV Park at Williams, AZ is adequate. Passport America rates are good for a 4-day stay. That is long enough.

Tomorrow, we are off to Sedona to see what we can see. Then we will travel to Camp Lutherwood at Long Valley Junction, UT and use it as a base for visiting Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks.
