I had the same problem last Fall in a campground up in Pennsylvania. We hired a local welder to come out and repair it. He did and it seemed like it would be fine. Then when I recently had the rig inspected I asked them to look at the repair job, this may have been a mistake but they looked at it and found the new weld was cracking. So we had new parts welded on. The new job was done by a Certified Welder and the job looked a lot better. I think this is one of the most serious types of repairs that should be done right not by patch work. If you have had it done by an uncertified welder go ahead and have someone who really knows what they are doing to look at it. John
