We have the 2 6-volt battery set-up with a couple of solar panels on the roof. We spent a month at Quartzite this year and that worked well for us. We found that by using the 6-volt batteries, we always had enough juice to run our coffee pot at 0 dark 30 in the mornings without disturbing neighbors with our generator.
