Ford is real picky about their warranty. If they find you have altered the stock vehicle (and the on-board computer remembers programming changes unlike earlier models) the warranty goes away if they feel the mod interacted with the failure.

You appear to live in CA where the bi-annual SMOG check program is another inhibitor to mods. The 6.7 is great as it is. Why tempt fate?
