I guess it's my way of doing things. But, I keep second tank closed. Why, because I seem to forget to check my tanks, mostly because of recent back surgery. It's my way to ensure, I don't run out. Did that once, it was worse than sending my "DW" out at 3:00 am to turn on valve. Fat guys like it cold! Lol. Hope she does not read this post!...oh I carry an extra tank in my truck. I really don't want to run out!
