I have dual pane. Yes they can be added after but shipping cost will drive the cost up. Remember the $1200 is additional cost not total cost if you replaced later.
Our windows do not frost up. I do have a couple that have cold drafts around them.
The screen area does not seem to be as much as the single pane. I had to replace the bedroom dual pane with one that has a screen on it. For some reason at least when our 07 was built they did not think a screen was needed in the bed room with the dual pane. WRONG. I bought one and replaced it at Goshen.
