Just a thought. If you are heading to Pendleton, is there a reason you are going up 5 to 84 then east to Pendleton? If you hit 97N at Weed to 84E at Biggs Junction you will cut about 125 miles off your trip. From Weed to Pendleton is about 10/11 hours. Bend makes a nice layover. There are four or five CG there plus WalMart.
