I just quizzed our RV dealer about why they don't sell motor homes anymore, and he said after 25 years in business we realized they were not making us the profit that the 5th wheel trailers were, because they were clogging up our service department with all kinds of issues. So I have heard they are pricier up front, and their registration and insurance is higher, their gas mileage is lower than our RAM truck pulling our Monty, and they are in the shop 2-3 times more? So I guess, unless you can afford the Million Dollar motor homes, you will be paying the price for less quality in the 2-300k motor homes that Thor and Tiffen are mass producing?
