Problem winterizing 3790RD

Wondering if I can pick some of your brains...

I have winterized our old Montana (with convenience center) for the last 6 years with no problem.

This year is the first time with our 3790RD. I have emptied the hot water heater, drained the tanks and low points.

Now I attached a short hose to the winterization entry hose point, and turn the hot water bypass to bypass and the fresh water tank bypass to winterize.

I put the hose into the tank of RV anti-freeze fluid and switch on the water pump. The pump seemed to have problems sucking in the antifreeze fluid. When my wife inside the rig open a faucet, she got a dribble of anti-freeze and a lot of air.

We could easily use 2-3 tanks of anti-freeze on our old rig (but it had 3 sinks, 2 toilets, shower etc). While this rig has less, it should easily have used a bottle or too of fluid right? We used next to nothing.

I will take the unit to Camping World tomorrow to fix, but I am concerned I am just doing something wrong and if I knew what it was I could save myself a trip...

Any ideas?

Thanks
Chris
