I ran a gravity fed auxiliary tank on my Duramax for 7 years and now on the 6.7 Powerstroke for over a year and NEVER threw a code. The Duramax fuel gauge would fall to empty on occasion but would reset automatically the next time the key was turned off then on. NO codes in many, many thousands of miles of use.
