Synthetic is better oil no question. Is it really necessary, that is debatable. It is better for your turbo and your engine is better protected but the engine will outlast the rest of the truck anyway so why bother.
Just be sure you get what is recommended for your truck. Read the owners manual and the label on the oil and be sure it’s recommended. If not the warranty may not cover the engine.

Mobil one will not meet Fords new standards, also Full Synthetic is not 100% synthetic. Still a good product.
