There are ooooohhhhhhh, a LOT of campgrounds in the Rio Grande Valley area (maybe as many as a couple of hundred). Best bet, get a campground book and read the scores. Most campgrounds have activities, some more, some less.
ohhh, RGV, reaches from Brownsville to past Mission. Covers a lot of territory.
