I tried using the water heater pans but they weren't of much value to me. What did work are the plastic furniture moving disks you can get at HD or Lowes. I attached the disks to 24" diameter plywood rounds (also from HD or Lowes) and then bolted the plywood to the chair bottoms. This works very well.

There are a bunch of posts on this topic. Unfortunately all of them are from before Jan. 2014. And those postings were "Archived" which means they aren't automatically "searched". You have to check the "Archived Posts" box. The really bad news is that the Archive Search used to work (after the last major upgrade), but doesn't now. Hopefully someone will get this fixed.
