Each floor plan has its advantages and disadvantages, but in the end it is only you that can make the decision on which floor plan feels "right" to you. I stand a just over 6' tall and the upper cabinets of the pantry in my 3400RL are a problem even for me. The solution was a small folding stool that is kept in the washer/dryer closet. I do not think you could go wrong with either floor plan... Happy shopping!
