Update: Our right angle adapter does not drop straight down but it sticks out at a ninety degree angle to the outlet. Weird. We have also contacted Epicord (the only name found on the original electric cord) via email to see what they say about the problem. Seems the cord should have lasted more than a year. Will keep you posted as to weather or not we hear from them.
