Summary, after 2 weeks of working this issue, I replaced the Morryde King pin Plate with the upgraded plate contained in Morryde upgrade RPB77-006. It also included blocks to insert into the four corners of the hitch to only allow forward and backward movement, no side to side at all. This is because of the extra stress the gooseneck adds to the king pin hitch. I also added (unrelated to initial issue) the Andersen safety chain setup. And replaced the Andersen red plastic part that attaches to the kingpin. I chewed the original up pretty bad as I worked with the 4 set screws removing and installing the Andersen parts that attached to the king pin. Lastly I moved the ball on the Andersen adaptor from the lowest position to the middle position as my new truck sits a bit lower than the old one it replaced.

All in all it is working very well ATM. I hope it continues to do so...
