We had the same problem when we had our Prowler travel trailer. We put a pair of cabinet door hinges (the self closing ones) on a 1/2 inch piece of wood the length of the clothes rod. When it is in the closed position it's closes against the hook of the hangers and keeps them from falling off. When we were camped you just flipped it up and it was out of the way. That way the hangers stay on the clothes bar but the slacks just fall off the hangers. Can't win sometimes.
