We are safely home from our 6100 mile spur of the moment trip. 3 weeks ago today we had just thrown out several hundred $$ worth of food from being without power for 4 days, the temp was again headed for 103 and I read it was 65° in the Black Hills. I told my SO, start packing we are leaving and left the next afternoon in the general direction of cooler temps out west. Stopped at the Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Black Hills, Devils Tower, Glacier and well since we are so "close" lets see my brother in Washington state, then Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Lets see, at 7.3 mpg thats.....never mind I do not want to know......
