I don’t know what is legal in your state or Va. A neighbor bought a 80 K 5er and saved thousands by registering it in Montana and now he will save the county tax every year. He set up a corporation in Montana that owns the camper without ever going to Montana.
If it’s illegal, worse case, if he gets caught he will haft to pay the taxes back with penalty. Best case he won’t get caught and if he gets caught it not a hanging offense.
